Born in London and raised in its literary heartland, Bloomsbury, I spent my teens east of Carthage and south of Constantinople in a vibrant Middle Eastern port renowned for its food, history and volatile politics. My formative years could not have been more different to the ones that followed. The wealth and often clashing nature of my cultural experiences, where the sun sets in the West and rises in the Orient, is a constant motif in my life, my prose, and in my personal struggles. I live in London and extract my income and a substantial part of my intellectual life from writing, as well as reading and rereading what I and other people have written. Thank you for visiting my blog.
I have been with WordPress for over five years now with mainly a spiritually centered poetry blog. I have a few self-published poetry books where the profits go to serve the “homeless cause” in Texas. As the saying goes, I have been to a couple of county fairs and a hog show in my lifetime. I love the high calibre of individuals who participate in blogging thru this platform.
I have to say, your blog really caught my attention. It is a combination of your beauty, that look in your eye, and the depth of your writing that captures my interest. I hope to return often to your blog. I also hope to have over time, more sharing of your beautiful thoughts about life and the eternity that is before all of us. Blessings in your journey.
John
Resplendent. You, my Dear, are absolutely amazing. Including all of its synonyms.
Thanks for the comment on ‘Some British Films’. Your home page is really good, and I liked ‘The Lady of Shalot’ image, as it seems appropriate. Intelligent stuff, and very well written.
I forgot to mention the new ‘Gravatar’, a nice black and white photo. I have a preference for B&W pictures. Your new one is reminiscent of the old Hollywood studio shots, and you seem in a contemplative mood. Regards as always, Pete.
